Matting Policy
Upon arrival to your dogs appointment a coat check will be carried out . If matting is found, your pets welfare will be put first.
Under no circumstances will Scruffs 2 Crufts “ work around “ matting .
Matted coats on dogs cause discomfort and can lead to skin problems. If not removed they can lead to skin sores, rashes, abrasions and hematomas.
To make sure your dog is comfortable, Scruffs 2 Crufts will have to take the coat short . This may mean that the groom you hoped may not happen, as such occasions , Scruffs 2 Crufts can not be held responsible in achieving the desired result as the welfare of your dog will always be the main priority in our services.
By agreeing to this policy you accept that your dog may have to be shaved if matted. You also agree that Scruffs 2 Crufts will not be responsible for any cuts or nicks that may occur when removing a heavily matted coat.
Flea Policy
Fleas are often found in ‘hot’ areas on your dog. This can include the neck, the base of the tail and armpits. Scruffs 2 Crufts requires clients to inspect their dog before their appointment.
If fleas are found during the appointment there will be an additional £10 charge on top of the original price of the groom.
This is to cover the cost of fumigating the salon, extra cleaning and rescheduling clients for the remainder of the day.
Right to refuse
Scruffs 2 Crufts retains the right to refuse their services for numerous reasons. These include but are not exclusive to
Reactivity
Lateness (15 mins)
Behaviour difficulties
Whether your dog is in season
Frequent cancellations
Pregnancy
If your dog has recently had an operation.
If your dog has poor health and can’t withstand being groomed.
